Bridgetown, Barbados, December 15 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Jonathan Drakes smashed an enterprising century for title favourites Sir Garfield Sobers X1 in an easy 152-run win against Sir Wesley Hall X1 in the fourth match of the Barbados Cricket Legends 50-over Cup at Kensington Oval today.
Batting at No. 3, Drakes scored 163 off 130 balls with 17 fours and six sixes as the Sir Garfield side amassed 355 for seven off 50 overs - the highest total in the Tournament - after winning the toss.
He featured in a second wicket partnership of 121 in 22 overs with Zachary McCaskie, who made 57 off 81 deliveries including five boundaries.
Pacer Akeem Jordan took two for 40, medium-pacer and captain Jonathan Carter, two for 47 and fast bowler Miguel Cummins, two for 59.
Sir Wesley X1 were dismissed for 203 in 33.3 overs.
Opener Rashid Boucher hit the topscore of 37 off 41 balls containing five fours and one six, while all-rounder Justin Greaves made 35 off 25 balls, counting three fours and two sixes.
Pace bowling all-rounder Nyeem Young took three for 21, left-arm spinner Chad Williams, three for 28 and fast bowler Jair McAllister, two for 38.
